2014 Guangdong Zhaoqing Racing Festival 2nd Round
2014广东肇庆赛车节——第二站
广东省以其靠近香港和澳门的优势，在中国的汽车、摩托车的改装领域迅速崛起并带动了中国其余地区的2/4轮高性能产业的发展。
广东肇庆赛车场（GIC），其中心地段位于广东省，GIC的风云赛道嘉年华在几年前开始到如今，已经掀起一阵阵热潮，越来越多的参赛者和参赛车队将赛事提到一个更高的层次。
从2014年初开始，BG就和GIC达成了合作协议，着手组织和运营GIC超级摩托车锦标赛并在2014年7月第一站中成功开办。
第二站GIC赛车节在10月3-5号的周末展开，由于当时BG老板Steven正在内蒙古地区出席蒙古阿拉善越野赛车节，Steven不得不于周四晚上连夜从蒙古赶回广东肇庆 并在周五早上到达赛车场。
由于第一站成功举办和BG宣传团队的大力推广，第二站GIC超级摩托车锦标赛得到了29名参赛者的报名，是一个极为可观的数字。
第一回合的超级摩托车赛事在下午1.30分展开，一切都顺利进行，直到最后一圈——当600cc 组的冠军准获者袁际博欲超过前面的600cc 车辆之际遇到了一个高压弯，霎时冲进了缓冲区，看起来伤势不轻，袁紧接着就被送去急救中心然后转到更远的医院检查，结果显示只是轻伤但却无法参与第二轮的比赛。
星期天还是相当炎热，30度的高温伴着猛烈的阳光。此次GIC的主打赛事5小时耐力赛将从下午开始一直到晚上，在此之前，还有超级摩托车锦标赛第二轮和GIC房车锦标赛，给了所有人满满一天的赛程安排。
BG的GIC超级摩托车赛的再一次精彩由赛事周末大量前往赛场支持车手的嘉宾燃起，赛事期间似乎出现了严重的摔车再次亮起了红旗，但所有的车手在检验后全部确认无恙，比赛继续进行。
赛后，便是3个组别前三甲的记者见面会，在场的每个人都相当兴奋并感谢GIC提供了一个良好的场地还有BG的组织的此次比赛！
GIC赛车节的最后一场是压轴的耐力赛，这场赛事将只能在午后展开并延续到晚上，伴随着灯火投射下的赛道和车子车头灯的照耀下前行。
最后一轮的GIC赛车节将在30-31号元旦前夕进行，每个人都很激动并已经开始为2014年的收官战作准备！
Guangdong Province, with its proximity with Hong Kong and Macau has been the fastest growing Auto and Motorcycle Tuning region in China affecting the rest of China’s 2/4 wheels high performance industry.
Guangdong Zhaoqing Circuit : with its central location in the Guangdong Province, Their own GIC Wheels and Thrills Challenge Racing Festival has been picking up steam with every race since a couple of years ago with more and more entries and the racing team has increased up to a much higher level.
BG has, since beginning of 2014, reached a cooperation agreement with GIC to organize and operate a Guangdong SBK Championship and has enjoyed a very successful Round 1 in July 2104.
Round 2 of the GIC Racing Festival is held on the weekend of 3-5/10/14, due to BG Boss Steven has to be at the Mega ALXA Off Road Festival at the Inner Mongolia Desert, so Steven can only rush back from Inner Mongolia all the way to Zhaoqing, Guangdong on Thur evening and reached the Circuit on Friday morning.
Due to the successful Round 1 and the big promotion and Advertising from BG’s Press team, the 2nd round of the GIC SBK Championship has a record 29 entries making this a very impressive grid.
Round 1 of the SBK race was on Sat 1.30 pm and all was good until the last lap, when 600 class winning hopeful Yuan Zi Bo was trying to overtake the front 600 bike but suffered a big high side and was down at the run off gravel trap looking very hurt, but after Yuan was taken to the medical center and further to the hospital for check up, he was declared with only minor injury but will not be racing on the Sunday 2nd Round.
Sunday was another scorching hot day with Temp in the high 30’s but very sunny; The main event of the GIC Racing Festival is the 5 hrs endurance race which will be held in the afternoon till late evening, before this, there will be the SBK 2nd Round, GIC Touring Car Championships, which give everyone a whole day of racing.
The GIC-BG SBK again was the highlight of the racing weekend with a big crowd coming to give support to the racers, the race was red flagged due to a couple of seemingly heavy crashes, but the riders were all OK after inspection.
After the race, there was a Meet the press with all the winners of the 3 race classes and everyone was extremely happy and thankful to the GIC Circuit for providing the Fun Track to ride and BG for organizing these events.
The Main feature of this GIC Racing Festival is their 5 hours Endurance race, and this race will only start late in the afternoon and last till late evening with Flood lights and the cars’ own headlights.
The last Round of the GIC Racing Festival will be at the 30-31/12/2014 New Year’s Eve, and everyone was excited and has already start preparing for the grand Final of the year’s racing.
